Allen Moore is a 1999 graduate of Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri and a 2007 graduate of Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Missouri. Allen received his Bachelor of Science in Speech and Theatre Education and his Master of Arts in Theatre Administration. As of 2023, Allen has his Certificate of Ministry through the General Council of the Assemblies of God.
Allen taught Speech and Drama for two years in the Riverview Gardens School District (St. Louis) and one year in the Francis Howell School District (St. Charles, Missouri). From 2004 through August 2014, Allen was employed by the St. Louis Public School District at Carr Lane Visual and Performing Arts Middle School. In his ten years at Carr Lane, Allen taught drama, technical theatre, math and computers; and was the technology liaison for the building.
From 2014-2016, Allen also worked at the Christian Activity Center in East St. Louis where he was the Clubhouse Coordinator and worked with both kids and adults on computer applications and other technology needs. Additionally, Allen managed the Center’s website and the input, output and analysis of data for the center.
From September 2014 through July 2023, Allen taught technical theatre, upper level math, physics and computer applications; and served as the Building, IT and Events Manager at DaySpring School of the Arts in Maryland Heights.
For the 2023-2024 school year, All taught High School mathematics in Blevins, Arkansas and served as the youth and worship pastor at 1st Assembly of God in Prescott, Arkansas.
Outside of his employment, Allen has worked extensively with performers of all ages in church dramas in both Springfield, Missouri and the St. Louis area. Throughout his time working in church drama, Allen has written several monologues, scenes and full productions. In addition, for 5 years, Allen ran Destination Theatre Company in St. Louis including directing 6 mainstage productions, several one acts and acting in several of the productions as well.
